Welcome to my training page. In late 2003 I began training under the guidance of Robbie Johnston who you may learn more about in a short bio on the My Team page. Below is an outline of a standard training week for me during my build-up phase.
Having spent five years living and training in the United States while on an athletic scholarship I now find it easiest to calculate my mileage and structure my training using Miles instead of Kilometres. Hopefully this is not too confusing for those who work in Km's.


Monday:

  • PM: 10 miles - Steady

Tuesday:

  • AM: 4-5 miles - Easy
  • PM: 10 miles - Intervals or Tempo Run

Wednesday:

  • PM: 12 miles - Easy

Thursday:

  • AM: 3-4 miles - Easy
  • PM: 13 miles - Steady

Friday:

  • PM: 10 miles - Easy

Saturday:

  • AM: 10-12 miles -Intervals or Tempo Run
  • PM: 6-8 miles - Easy

Sunday:

  • AM: 18 miles - Steady
  • PM: 3 miles - Easy

Total:

  • 100-105 miles (160-170 Km's)
